One of our doctors has been raising money for charity by cycling 5 stages of the Tour de France
Everyone here at Holt Doctors would like to wish one of our incredibly talented (and slightly mad) doctors a huge congratulations after he successfully completed 5 stages of the Tour de France last week whilst raising money for Charity.
Dr Mark Ratnarajah was raising money for the William Wates Memorial Trust, a charity which helps the most disadvantaged young people keep away from a life of crime and violence and to realise and fulfil their full potential in life. This is achieved by giving grants to charities that engage young people through the mediums of sport, arts and education
The event followed all 21 stages of the 2016 Tour de France route, staying 7 days ahead of the professionals, and finishing around 3,344 km later at the summit of Mont Ventoux, where Dr Ratnarajah recorded this video blog.
It was a fantastic achievement for everyone involved and we wish them all a speedy recovery! If you would like to read some more about Mark's journey or to make a donation, please click here
