Please note:
The recently issued Version 3 Holt Doctors’ Handbook contains reference to the new system of vetting and barring by the Independent Safeguarding Authority. The Home Secretary, Theresa May, issued a statement on 15 June 2010 to the House of Commons which confirms the stated intention of the coalition Government to review the Vetting & Barring and criminal records regimes to ensure that they are scaled back to common sense levels. The text regarding the Independent Safeguarding Authority Registration in the Handbook, particularly around the introduction dates, will be re-issued once we receive further information. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please still send in your confirmation when you have read the Handbook. Thank you.
